European Project ForZDM – “Zero Defect Manufacturing”

ENKI participates to the European project ForZDM (Project ID: 723698, Funded under: H2020-EU.2.1.5.1. – Technologies for Factories of the Future – Integrated Zero Defect Manufacturing Solution for High Value Adding Multi-stage Manufacturing systems).
ZDM (Zero Defect Manufacturing) is a recent paradigm that aims at going beyond traditional six-sigma approach. It requires and innovative management of defects, control methods, development of new technologies for in-line inspections that are not available at the moment in the market.
The project started in October 2016 and will last for 48 months.
The aim of the project is to develop tools that can support the implementation of the ZDM paradigm in production and industrial design.
This model will be implemented and validated in 3 different industrial use cases, among these Enki will be the demonstrator for the manufacturing of medical devices and in particular microtubes and catheters.
